Windows 10 PT issues

Can we get some feed back on windows 10? What's the best version of PT to work with windows 10 for example? What issues may we expect. should we upgrade to windows 10 or wait for further instructions? etc. Will pt 8 ever work with windows 10?

Hasn't been qualified yet, and probably won't EVER be for PT 8. That doesn't mean it won't work, but don't expect any tech support. Side note: I have 8.0.5 working pretty well on Win 8.1 and it isn't supported either. Nice for a backup to the backup rig!

I haven't found any issues with Windows 10 and PT 12. expecting 8 would be a far stretch considering it's been a better part of 5 years since it was EOL. That said. Never know until you try. We do enjoy the backwards compatibility Mac users can only dream about!! ;-)

Same here. If you're dependant upon PT working (ie, it is your source of income), then wait until it is officially supported. If not, then do a backup, and give it a try!

I did upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10, I had PT 8.3, unfortunately it wouldn't load in windows 10 it kept crashing my computer when I tried to load. I have a HP Pavillion 2.03 mhz speed 4gb ram. I would assume it's not compatible at this time. I had to revert back to windows 7. I had audio issues, bluetooth issues in windows 10.

Before doing any more "pioneering", please get a backup program like Macrium Reflect 6 Free and backup your operating system. Then go to town experimenting and, if it doesn't work out, restore the image you made just prior to experimenting and you will "time travel" back to functional again.
