Changing tempos, meters in Pro Tools

Hey Folks,
I am recording a song that utilizes various meter/feel changes and want to create a custom click track to play along to. Basically the change is from a straight eighth to a shuffle feel. Say the quarter note tempo is 174 and I want the click to play straight eighth notes (duple) then change to a triplet feel while the main pulse and tempo stay the same. Is it a matter of changing the grid at these points? As far as I can tell there's no way to change the grid at various points like you would tempo or meter.
This gets a little hairy during the shuffle since the riff repeats every 22 beats: 123,123,123,123,123,123,12,12 (this sounds a lot more natural than it looks).
Anyway, this sounds more complicated than it it really is, and it should be easy to make these changes in Pro Tools. I just can't find any good tutorial material covering this. There's got to be film guys out there that do much more complex stuff.
