Bat file script to delete Pro Tools preferences on Windows 7
Hi,
Just want to share a easy way to delete your Pro Tools preferences if your on Windows 7. Deleting Pro Tools preferences might help if your having trouble. 1) Open Notepad copy and paste inn the following line : RMDIR /S /Q %USERPROFILE%\appdata\roaming\AppData\Roaming\Avid 2) Save as delete_preferences.bat (Remember to select Save as type "All Files (*.*)". 3) Open Windows Explorer and find the file you just made. 4) Run it by double clicking on the file (or alternatively right-click and select Run as Administrator). Now you have deleted your Pro Tools preferences. Hope that helps. |

You just took me back many years with this post. Didn't know anyone still messed with batch files on Windows. Are they still stored in the belfry directory?

Sorry for being a bit retro, but it works just fine. One click and the preferences are reset.

Nothing wrong with being retro if it works. I have an old PC clone that has a rather large belfry folder of bat files.
