Record rounding in grid?

OK... so this is a weird one.

os 10.11.6

In Grid mode: Record... stop recording... measure the END of the recording to the nearest grid line (for example I have my grid set to 23.98, 1 frame)... no matter when I stop the recording... it's always the same amount of samples away from a grid line... it changes depending on my hardware buffer.

so with my hardware buffer set at 512... it's always ends 713 samples after a grid.

I think it's trying to stop the recording on the grid line(cuz grid mode)... but messing it up? by some amount?...

EDIT:... well I figured it out as I was writing this... turn off delay comp and it rounds to the frame edge correctly... but with delay comp on it's broken. This is definitely new behavior... and I don't know if I like it...


BONUS BUG(or feature?): "With Insertion follows playback" on, the edit cursor is now inserted at the nearest grid line to the end of the recording... even if the nearest gridline is OVERLAPPING the last recording. This is definitely new behavior. (when working correctly... fine... but with delay comp on... it's a real turd)

It does not.

To be clear this is recording without having made a selection. Just a free-range recording.
