M-Audio Keyrig49 Pitch bender behaving weirdly

Good day to you !
I have got M-Audio Key Rig49 Midi controller . And it worked fine for almost a year. Then suddenly, one day the pitch bend started working weirdly. When I bend the pitch up/ down. the note wobbles. I can see in my FL-studio display window, that when I apply just a little bend, the pitch fluctuates from 0-127 and in between.
But, one strange thing I notice is - when I press the pitch bend wheel on the left/ right side and then bend the pitch, it works fine.
Is it that something has gone lose with my pitchbend wheel ?
Please help me to resolve this issue. I am bit disappointed with this keyboard.
