Precisely Match L-R Powered Monitors Level Setting?
With two powered monitors, L-R, with manual volume control knob on the back, is there some electronic, or other, way to precisely match their level setting to match, rather than just eyeballing the knob setting?

Get a sound pressure level meter. Lots of them available on Amazon for relatively cheap. Use a consistent reference, such as pink noise.

Indeed^^^ Or simply make a mono AUX track, insert the signal generator plugin, set pink noise at a comfortable volume, sit dead center of the speakers and adjust until the sound seems to come from...dead center

+1. If your gear & cabling are good, the L/R balance SHOULD be on-the-money. Use a mono source to verify. My rig was fine, but I double-checked (by ear) to be certain. It really was as simple as that !!!

Re: Precisely Match L-R Powered Monitors Level Setting?
What about running both all the way up? As long as you run through a monitoring unit you should be safe enough...

The amplifiers may not spec exactly the same. Also, it seems to me the sweet spot for most amplifiers is somewhere less than all the way up.
