Pro Tools 10 Free Trial Update

Hi All,

It's been a pretty busy month here at Avid. We wanted the Pro Tools 14 day trial to be available in early November, but with the release of Pro Tools 10, Media Composer 6 and the Avid Vantage program, we're running a bit behind. As such, the release date for the trial has been moved to the middle of December.

Sorry for any inconvenience. The web team is working as fast as they can to get us up and running.

Any update on DV Toolkit to CPTK upgrade?
We can't purchase PT10 until this happens.

no problem Max! just postpone the deadline for HD9 user to purchase the support plan that includes HD10 till march and we'll call it even

Unfortunately like a lot of studios i won't be working the last 2 weeks of december So won't really give me much opportunity to test properly before the deadline for HD users to purchase the support plan

Will the demo be fully functioning or will it be disabled in some way?
For example, save disabled or inserts noise into the audio...

Has there ever been a demo of Protools before?

yes there has: it was Pro Tools Free

I'd assume there going to use the same basic model as Media Composer's trial software

Actually, this seems fair to me, although maybe the offset should match the late release of the demo compared to the time it was promised.
