Waves Platinum Waves 5.0

In my previous post,i mentioned the problem of random crashes when doing midi edits on virtual instrument midi tracks like cut and paste, extending midi notes....stuff like that.
The crashed session seemed corrupted and cannot be used again.
I'm wondering if it's the Hp machine itself that's causing this or Protools.
Any help would be much appreciated

Shah

Hi Shah,

Doesn't really matter about the HD part of the system. You will get pretty much as much virtual power from an LE system as a HD, as the power comes from the CPU of the computer and not the process cards.

Have a look at the Quadzilla Thread in the LE section and you will see what I mean.

BTW, I run a HD4 in a chassis with a dual core AMD X2 CPU. I still run into limits with the RTAS and Virtual synths, but pretty much limit free when it comes to AUDIO tracks and TDM plugins and synths. All the plugs you mentioned are either RTAS or VST plugin Virtual Instruments.

All the best,

Big D
