Default Re: PT 10 feresh instal... Which plug in versions

For example....

Impact 11.1 (Mac)

Impact 11.1 (Win)

Impact 11.0 (Mac)

Impact 11.0 (Win)

Impact 10.2.1 for Pro Tools HD Accel 10 (Mac SL)

many of the other plug ins show a similar 10.2.1 version and say mac PT 10 so I use those. but this one says Mac SL, does that mean Snow Leopard?? What is "SL" in this case.

installing PT 10.3.8 now.

Anything labeled 11.x will be 64 bit, and cannot be used with any version of Pro Tools prior to 11.

There are a number of v11.1 plug-ins that are both 32-bit and 64-bit. The Avid plug-ins that are 64-bit are noted as such here:
Avid 64-bit AAX Plug-ins for Pro Tools 11

To the original poster, if you are using Pro Tools 10.3.x, you can install the most recent versions of Avid AAX plug-ins that are both 32-bit and 64-bit from that page.

No need to install the RTAS versions unless the AAX version is 64-bit only.

Sorry Bruce, but this page you linked to causes just the confusion people in this thread are talking about.

IF it says "64-bit only" then it is only for PT11. Otherwise just use the most current installer and it will also have most current 32-bit version.

Bruce, correct me if I'm wrong. I will stand corrected should I have to

You are correct, thanks for clarifying.

As it says on the page:
Quote:
Avid 64-bit plug-ins also work as 32-bit plug-ins in Pro Tools 10, except where noted as "64-bit only".
