Chris, you nailed it. I imported the tracks to a new session, and problem solved. I'm no longer a virgin, corruption-wise. That was it.

Scott, you waffle-eating überdude, thanks for joining in. I'll check my e-mails now. It's just that I enjoyed a long and troublefree session after the import. Had that happy feeling, you know.

I can't believe that the easiest thing to try (import into a new session) was the thing I tried last. I'm not embarrassed at all.
