Default Auto Save Bug?

I have PT 5:1 and have been having problems with Auto Save. In Preferences, I have Auto Save set to: keep the last 10 every 5min. Some sessions, if I have a crash, I open the session file backups folder and notice that it has stopped backing up, sometimes for hours before the crash. Once I reboot and open the session, it then starts it's backing up from that point in time.
I am wondering if any one else has had this problem or are aware of a bug.
P.S.I am not used to forever save, save, save, as I am an "ex" Fairlight user. null
