Actually I have to disagree with that statement....... as simply not true!

.....at least in relation to max profit. There was a discount sale on subscriptions last Xmas for the grand price of just 25% of what I would normally pay. I missed it by a week or so and posted how I was kicking myself as I didnt realise you could pay for a subscription in advance and it will be tacked on when you current one runs out. It was Avid who got in contact with me to offer the same deal. They could have simply done nothing. I call that great customer service.

maybe you should keep yourself up to date with the deals that come out and take advantage when you can.

RE: the hat, PT 11's 64-bit architecture was far from "innovation" as Avid was among the last to migrate into this format.

So, what was their most recent truly innovative feature (which was not copied from some other DAW who'd likely employed it much sooner)?

Leading question- I don't want ProTools to be innovative; I want it to be stable, reliable, efficient, and to offer a good work flow. If I was looking for innovative I would be looking at the weird unit/loop based applications, not at the Cadillac of audio recording and editing. ProTools gets the job done best and that's why it remains on top of the heap.
