Default Best new bands/artists?

I'm always looking for new music to check out. Some of my favorite DUC threads have been the 'What are you listening to' threads. I've been turned on to some great bands by you guys.

What new music have you guys come across that you really like?

Thanks,
Marc

I just started listening to Pamela Williams and I think Evolution is a great album. Tricky's album Vulnerable is definitely a favorite of 2003 and so is Unkle's Never Never Land.

check out "D-Styles: Phantasmagorea" if you like turntable music.
or even if you don't think you do... this is a sweeet album.
you can find it at sandboxautomatic.com
also listening to "gys: art d'echo"... great atmospheric
dubby techno. he's on componentrecords.com

other current favorites:
Angie Stone - Mahogany Soul (exquisitely produced new soul stuff)
Meat beat Manifesto - RUOK (not groundbreaking but very addictive)

If you are into highly intelligent acoustic music with dabs of electronics and such, I would recommend anything from Black Heart Procession. They have some good stuff, very intelligent writing.

If you want more electronics and such, Ive recently been turned on to a band called Diary of Dreams. They have been around for a while, but are not that popular. Its darker music though, so if you are into happy glittery electronics, this is not for you.
