I've noticed absolutely no difference in 3.0. All AS plug ins load in the same time as 2.8.

I've noticed a definite change from 2.8.1! For me the average delay is about 5 secs.

I'm using a Beige G3 300mHz AM III running OS 8.6.

Default --> Waves Gold Bundle 3.0

Maybe you've read about this in other threads, but I need your help:
Some users of the Gold Bundle 3.0 (TDM or RTAS) are having very slow loading-times if they select *any* plugin form the Audiosuite-menu (so within Protools, NOT during startup). Depending on session-density and CPU, this can vary between 8 seconds to 26 seconds (...) for just selecting say 'Normalize' or 'Gain' (or any other plugin for that matter).

Waves is trying to let me buy the story that this is normal behaviour, and that 2.81 was even slower... I don't believe that.

So how long does it take for any plugin to show up on your system, once you have selected it from the AS-menu ? NB: This only applies to Waves Gold users.
I'd really like to prove them wrong, since I can't imagine anyone willing to accept to wait for simple 'all-day' plugins to show up after half a minute...

So please post your findings !

For what it's worth, I took 3.0 demo out of my system 1 hour after trying it.

Too slow for me. I didn't trust it.

system:OS 9.04, G4 450 mix plus

I bought the C4 seperate and the L2 looks sweet. that will be next.

Love waves but I think 3.0 needs something fixed.

I see no difference with my 3.0 compared to 2.8.1, other than everything sounds better.

It's that f@%#%ing dongle they have on there. Fortunately, mine load up in about 5 seconds, so I can't complain. Sympathy to those of you who have to wait though. It's a real pain loading up Pro Tools initially, because it has to go through like all 50 plugins. yech! The plugs do really rule though. I use them constantly.

No: it's NOT the loading-time during startup: that's has actually become faster since they've dropped the dongle.
It's the time it takes for *ANY* audiosuite-plugin to show up after you have selected it from the menu.
Some users have noticed a significant delay from 5 to 25 secs AFTER they have installed Waves 3.0 Gold (or maybe even other bundles too ?) and not only for the Waves-plugins themselves, bt also Digirack ...actually all plugins load slower.

Waves should know that there's an issue here, since not all users suffer from it. Their initial reaction is ' Well, that's logical since the Gold-bundle consists of close to 108 components'... That does not make sense at all: plugins are 'cached' during startup and if so, only the Waves-plugs would be slow.
if you remove the Waveshell 3.0 the problem is gone completely !

So Keep 'em coming !! (and thanks for taking the time !
