recordings playing back at twice the speed
Hi guys,
I have no idea what has gone wrong, while using protools today every track I record is playing back at twice the speed!. I know the answer is staring me in the face but I just cant seem to figure it out One track is a bass guitar and the other is a MIDI keyboard using X-pand. I have a 003r running 7.3 Any ideas would be great! Tommy

If you really mean TWICE as fast(bass is an octave higher), then maybe you accidentally recorded at half speed(I think you hit Shift-F12 or Shift-spacebar for that). If you mean it plays faster and pitched up a few semitones, that would indicate a clock issue like you recorded at 44.1k but your system is clocked to an external device set to 48k.

I found my problem, for some unknown reason I was pressing ctrl+shift+space to record instead of ctrl+shift.
I hate it when its just so obvious cheers for the advice mate
