Unworkable bug. Pan pots periodically get unset...

I’ve had to abandon using both Avid S1 controllers!!!!!!

At unpredictable moments pro tools will move SOME PAN pots to the middle. Usually it’s the left hand pan pot of a stereo pair while the right hand pan pot remains panned right. But also some mono pan pots also jump to center.

There’s no rhyme or reason. It just happens. And ONLY if one or both of my S1s are engaged in the Eucon control app.

This is very frustrating. It’s happened to two separate independent engineers who work here. In both cases we have to disconnect the surfaces in their app and the problem goes away. Don’t ask me how I figured out this is S1-related. It was a process of deduction.

I’ve done the usual: trashed PT Prefs at some point but did not trash S1 Prefs as I don’t know where they are.

Running Mojave on a 12 core cylinder. HELP, please. We can’t just mix with a mouse guys.

Sure sounds like it could be! And on two different S1s. I know because I removed one from Eucontrol and still got this Issue. What was the resolution of that controller bug?

That's a serious bummer - I saw this happen a few times on a version or two of 12, but haven't seen it anytime recently. At that time I got in the habit of writing a break point for all the pans at the beginning of the session just in case - but it didn't have anything to do with Eucon. This sounds more serious - hoping Avid comments on this!
