Hi all

I am doing an Avid Tech Talk on the 17th of February on Eucon Softkeys. I’m planning on talking about S3/Dock, S6, and S5 if time permits. I wanted to start a little dialogue as I’m prepping to see if you have any specific questions or areas of interest on the topic that I can build into the presentation. 2. If I can set a softkey colour in the Eucontrol software, why is this not changing the color of my softkey led...

Not sure if this thread is necessarily meant to be about new features but yes, I'd definitely like to see this one implemented.

Another thing I'm interested to know.... is there any way of adding a delay between keystrokes/Eucon actions when one is making a macro on a soft key?

Thanks for the responses so far. This isn't meant to be a thread on Feature Requests, rather on areas of interest/questions about soft keys. That being said...

There are only 3 colors available on the S3 switches, Red, Yellow, and Green. Because of the color limitation, I'm not sure if the color choice in EuControl can be implemented, but can look into it.

I think it would great if there were two user adjustable settings for 'Speed' and 'Acceleration'. That way, it would be possible to have completely linear parameter control, and any degree of acceleration could be added to personal taste. That should keep everyone happy.

Any extra level of control over soft key colours would be very valuable. I have a soft key programmed to enable Write automation on all my tracks (in Cubase). If I can make it RED for WRITE, it immediately removes that extra fraction of a second where my brain has to remember: "which key do I need to press????" The difference between a good DAW controller and a great DAW controller is removing those split seconds of wasted time in thinking about your next move and colour coding can certainly help a lot here.
