Problem Removing Command 8 from PTLE 7.4

Hello,

I'm having a Problem Removing Command 8 from PTLE 7.4

I sold my Command 8 and removed it from my system. I have a G5.2.5
Tiger 10.4.9 with a 002R running PTLE 7.4.

I went to Setup>Peripherals>Midi Controllers and removed the Command 8 and selected "Type- None". Now PT's won't load... When I try to open PT's it goes all the way to "Setting Up Peripherals - Intializing Machine Controls" and doesn't load.

The only way I got PT's to load was to remove my plug-ins folder. Then I went to Setup>Peripherals>Midi Controllers and re-selected the Command 8. I then put the plug-in folder back and restarted PT's.
It the would open, but would say "Lost communication with Command 8"
go to Peripherals>Midi Controllers and select none if you are not using it.The unit was not connected.

What am I doing wrong? All I'm only trying to do is remove my Command 8. Any help would be greatly appreciated....Thanks in advance
