Default Command 8 Wishlist

Now this didn't take long did it!

Top of my list is:

Allow us to autowrite a track. I find this to be one of my main uses of the C8 so I would love to be able to set a track to auto write from the C8.

1) I wish there was a way to have an input into PT or at least monitor while also hearing PT. On the 002, an external input (like a CD) can be routed to 7-8. The external input on the C8 when selected cut's off all PT monitoring. I guess I'm supposed to have a second board to monitor thru? Maybe there is a way to do this that I'm missing?
2) I like that I can push one button and instantly have my master faders, but again, unless I have an external monitoring set up I can only use the C8 with one master out. I could assign 8 outputs to aux's, then buss them to one master fader, but then I loose the ability to quickly get eight faders at my finger tips. Any thoughts?

Whether there is an expansion pack or not, I'd like to see fader caps that are more like traditional faders. The ones on the Command|8 look as if they are just a crater for my finger. I'd like something that is more contoured like a fader, such as on the HUI, MCU, or more traditional consoles.

Swappable caps when such a redesigned fader cap is available would be nice.

Default Auto Hide

What if you could toggle a pref that only showed on screen the bank you where veiwing and hid the rest? So you could have 8 tracks medium size at a time that would follow your banking. So the screen always followed and showed what you were working on.

I'm 99.99% sure that it already does something similar...where the screen will snap to the bank of tracks that you're currently controlling. It doesn't show/hide tracks, but it puts them in plain view on the screen, outlined in blue.

yea, I guess it sort of does. I was thinking it would be cleaner if it hid them but this ispretty good already.
