Default Daisy chaining 003 and Mackie Onyx 1620 with firewire card

Hello,

I am trying to daisy chain my Mackie Onyx 1620 audio interface through my 003r. I want to be able to use all of the 18 inputs and all the outputs of my Mackie plus the 8 inputs of my 003. I want the 003 to be the master so I can also use the midi inputs to control the rest of my equipment.

I can use the 003 and the Mackie separately but I would like to know how I can configure Pro Tools to use them simultaneously.

I have already updated the Drivers and the firmware to the 003R.

I currently have:
MacBook Pro 10.6.8
Pro Tools 10.3.7
003R
Mackie Onyx 1620 with firewire card
I have attached photos of my playback engine and I/O

Please let me know what I need to do.

Thank You!

NdFrenz

You can't because the 003 does not allow aggregate.

Hello Dave,

Thanks for letting me know. I have been searching all over for the answer after a few people told me it was possible.

I guess I would rather use the Mackie since I have more inputs than the 003. So then basically instead of using the 003 should I get some sort of midi interface? If so do you know what kind I should get? I have 4 keyboards 2 Drum machines and 3 sound modules.

Thank you for your help.
