Default My PT 12 Edu license not activating PT 12

I have a PT 12 license as shown in my Downloads in my Avid Account and also in my Ilok account. However when I launch PT 12 it says there is no license to activate PT even after synching with Ilok!.

I also have a license for PT 11 but it does not work either!

But have you dragged the license to your iLok dongle? If not this is why it won’t work.

What does that have to do with anything having used Avid hardware over the years? Do you think only people who used the hardware gets special assistance?

This is not a support forum, it is members helping members and if you need Avid support you need to start a support case and await the help from them.
Start the support case and give us the case number and we can help escalate the issue but we need that case number first.

Yes this is the problem!. Having spent big on their hardware in the past to come back then some years later and find yourself that you can not even get support, even after spending 30 minutes on their support page blocked everytime with some information requests that is not available to you, such as System ID, Serial Number and so on, is very annoying. They have the account under an email address so they should have all this info connected!

I am stuck because the system ID is not shown in my products and I don't see where the serial numbers are either. This is very annoying. I hope somebody from Avid can offer some help.

Can you confirm the specific version of Pro Tools you have installed? The Pro Tools 10/11/12 bundle will authorize v10.0-12.5.2, so perhaps you have a newer version installed than listed in your sig?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes it is the 12.5.2 version the one I have installed. it is the one that is available to download in My Products.

My guess is that it does not activate it because after this I was on a subscription plan for one year and somehow they mess it up so you have to continue paying...

I found my system ID next to Cancelled Subscriptions, but no serial number, so I can not access support yet!!

Almost 2 weeks and still I can not launch Protools 12 with my license!.

In Avid Link PT 12.5.2 showed as activated but I could never opened it!. Now I restarted Avid Link and PT 12.5.2 is gone and instead there is a Protools annual subscription student teacher which was cancelled long ago. Protools never again.
