c/24 age group

I have a C/24 i was looking at that has a serial date in 2006. That is 7 yrs old!! What year did the c/24 begin production? Was there any changes over the years, or upgrades that wouldn't be included in a 7 yr old controller? Also, on an avg use controller that is 7 years old, what kind of function problems should i expect?
