Default Vista Compatibility

Is Pro Tools SE compatible with Windows Vista? It doesn't say that it is but I can't imagine they would make it compatible with XP and not Vista.

Default Re: Vista Compatibility

Looks like its only Officially supported for XP and 7. I think Avid is dumping support for Vista on all versions as soon as they can. You probably can get it to work in Vista, but may need to run it in XP compatibility mode and use Run As Admin. Even if you get it running, you wont get any support from Avid if Vista is not Officially supported.

Anyone else notice you only need a 5400 RPM hard drive and not a 7200RPM drive. Although they should word it differently, it should say Minimum 5400 RPM hard drive Required. Now it just says, 5400 RPM hard drive required, a noob could be confused by that, thinking his 7200 or 10,000 RPM drive wont work.

Yea probably cause its limited track count they figured it will never need the 7200 rpm throughput. At least its good for consumers who dont have amazing pc's
