M Powered 7.4 \"punch\" issues
Hey can anyone help on this one?
I have a new version of MP 7.4 and there seems to be an issue with the "pre-roll" start time. It doesn't want to lock to the bars and beats setting on the transport. Every time I put the cursor at the punch in point and hit the "pre-roll" the punch in start time moves to approx. 4 bars off. Now when I place the cursor at any point on the session it jumps up or back 4 bars. Does this make sense? It doesn't stay where I put it. I just installed the latest update and it is still doing it. If any one has any ideas that would be great. thanks, |

Re: M Powered 7.4 \"punch\" issues
Not really clear on what you are saying. Are you intending to have a preroll? If not then unselect preroll in the transport window. Its pretty easy to accidentally enanble it. If the playhead isn't following you selection is possible that you've separated play and selection markers (check the options menu).

Re: M Powered 7.4 \"punch\" issues
It seems that when I set pre roll from a certain point the place that it punches in is 3-4 bars ahead or behind the spot that I set as a punch point. As a matter of fact when I set pre roll the start time in the pre roll box is not the same measure as where the playhead is. Does this make sense? It is hard to explain without showing it. It seems like it just started to do it on all of my PT sessions. ??????????
by the way I checked the "link timeline and edit selection" in options and it is set correctly thanks |

Re: M Powered 7.4 \"punch\" issues
It sounds like you might have the dynamic transport turned on while trying to use the pre-roll. If you want to use the pre-roll, you have to turn off the dynamic transport.
