yeah! tempo maps screws with my sessions.

i've found a part-time work around. i cut the track at each tempo mark & if it's a different tempo than the main track, after the track, i set a new tempo mark then i option drag a copy into that area & melodyne reads it correctly. once it's fixed, i usually dump it to another track & drag that to the original location.

yeah, it's a bit of work, but the quality is worth it.

granted, this only works if the phrase actually starts & stops at the edits. otherwise, i'm done for. in that case, if the tempo marks are close, i record it at one constant tempo then once my corrections are made, i use elastic audio to change the tempo.

my version of melodyne at tempo marks plays the original tempo stuff in time, then when a change comes in, it's either delayed or way out of sync. it's a shame too because i love it more than antares autotuner.

My workaround is just do a save as and delete the tempo map then when I'm done and have printed the melodyne output just go back to the original session and import. Would LOVE to not have to do that.
