Question 32bit PTS plugins will it run on Win & 64bit?

1. I am looking at going Win 7 64nit with Pts 9, mostly for memory gain, hence the fact I use loads of virtual instruments, however memory without my plugins do not make sense.

If any one used 32bit plugins with Win 7 64bit?

I love would to here back from you with your experience on this.

2. Is there a similar memory mod which we did and used with XP for win 7 32bit?

The problem is that Pro Tools itself is still a 32-bit application and will only use 4GB of memory MAXIMUM.

Most of the plug-ins I run are 32-bit in W7/64-bit, and all is well.

you can run 32 bit apps in a 64 bit OS. So you should have no trouble with your plug ins. Also more and more plugins are coming out with 64 bit versions every week. The other major DAWs are already 64 bit...... Avid is still behind in that game.

Windows 7 is the last version of Windows to have a 32 bit option, Windows 8 will be 64 bit only. So go ahead and grab W7 64 bit.
