I've tried all of the options in the drop down and still no luck. Should I reinstall Pro Tools? I've a feeling though that the issue is me not setting it up correctly as opposed to the software!

The Input section in the I/O Labels will be blank if you select Built-In Output as your Playback Engine - you are telling PT it can only deal with outputting audio by selecting that. PT can only use 1 Playback Engine at a time which is why it creates an aggregate device to combine the computer's input and output.

Select Pro Tools Aggregate as your Playback Engine, then open I/O Labels, click Input, click Default.

Let us know what happens.

Regards,
JC

Still no luck, there's no signal going in and when I record there's still no sound. I set it to PT Aggregate and selected the default input.

That looks fine to me. Are you now able to select "Aggregate Device" from the Setup> Playback Engine window in Pro Tools?

Have you selected "Built-in microphone" as the input to your audio track?
