Default Surround mix plug-in during opening of session file

Hi,

Just completed an upgrade of PT9 HD from PT 8 HD. I did a clean install removing all Digi components (other than the plug-ins). things seemed to go smoothly.

Upon opening the first session, I discovered that I wasn't able to open a session that I had no problems with before. When PT was scanning the plug-ins used by the session, I kept noticing a strange plug-in I hadn't ever seen before, that appeared to be a surround component. If the session was being opened as a surround session, than that would explain the reasons why we no longer had the DSP required.

I have had to revert back to PT 8HD since, due to this issue as well as others (the new I/O settings not appearing to work properly, loosing busses, misc strange things regarding I/O).

Has anyone seen this type of an issue and been able to resolve it?

George
