Protools on Win 7 64bit within Virtualization of WinXP mode?

Just wondering if anyone has tried Pro Tools within the Windows XP Virtualization under Windows 7 64bit? Any input?

There was some chat a little while back and the concencus was not very positive though I do not remember details.

I tried it, and got 7.4 to work, as well as 8. BUT, there is no firewire in virtual XP. And the performance is not great at all. It's not worth it for audio stuff.

Two years later but I found some information about "Intel Virtualization Tech I/O":

I think it's not useful because Pro Tools recommends NO ETHERNET cards running on your system while recording / mixing to avoid CPU cicles consumption.
