Default Recording at half speed

I've tried to follow the instructions in the reference guide but haven't been able to get it to work. I'm pressing the command key and space bar, but the track still plays and records at regular speed. Am I missing something?

My agility on the bass is sub par and I'm trying to piece together a run of 16th notes, but I can't play them in time. I'd prefer not to slide the notes into place because I don't trust my fade in/out work.

That brings up another issue. I have trouble fading out from a region containing audio to a blank or cleared area and/or fading in from a blank area to a region with audio. I've tried different types of curves. Are there rules to fades of this nature that I'm not aware of?

Try adding the SHIFT key to the mix.

Shift, Command, and Spacebar? I'll try that.

Thanks Rail!

Yes. That´s for normal record command: ( the command key and space bar).

For halv speed record, press shift, command and space bar.
