Digital distortion 12.5.2 mac

every so often loading a plugin ,usually waves ,causes the session to go into digital distortion. also getting random cpu spikes with very few plugs. usually reloading protools works but it's embarrassing when client are in control room.. happens quite often.. have trashed prefs reinstalled pr and os. changed buffer nothing seems to fix this.Never happens on my hd pt 10 system only on the pt12.5.2 native.
Pt 12.5.2 mac mini quad 16gigs ram. ua apollo quad, apogee rosetta connected by optical.

you are not alone and there are several threads speaking of this .. do a quick search here .. avid is working on it .. hang in there ..
