pretty decent of fabrice to give them to those that already own the AirEQ and the VMR. if you have the AirEQ and VMR authorized on your iLok2 then just install the new VMR installer from slatedigital and they are yours free of charge. cheers

Do we have to own the air license to get them or just the WMR license?

if you own the AirEQ and authorized on your ilok... AND you own the VMR and it is also authorized on your ilok... then download the new installer for the VMR @ slate and install. the modules work free of charge.

if you rent the 'everything bundle' plugs from slate... they are already available with new installer. if you DON'T own Fabrice's AirEQ then you either have to rent through slate or purchase the modules for your VMR.

Has anyone put the AirEQ up against the Maag EQs, in terms of "Air" so to speak.

Working with the new AirEQ VMR modules tonight...As an early adopter of AirEQ back in the Eliosound days, I can say that the VMR modules are spot on and then some! Its fun to play with adding an amount of "air", then moving the LPF to compensate (and vice versa!)

A great set of tools keeps getting better.

I did this a while ago while demoing the Maag, I found Maag's "air" to be a little lower in the frequency spectrum, while AirEQ was...well, "airier". Both are great in application. FWIW, I didn't buy the Maag and stuck with AirEQ.

i find myself... the maag is a better breath for vocals but on a whole the AirEQ has a better ambiance for mixes. but that is just what i prefer. cheers
