Half-arsed solution for slow screen redraws
You can set the processor scheduling to PROGRAMS rather than BACKGROUND SERVICES.
This really helped me with the slow screen redraws and the badly tracking meters. The reason I say that this may be half-assed is because of the performance hit you may or may not take as a result. I am running it this way just fine with no noticable difference in performance BUT it makes a bunch of difference with speeding up the graphics. YMMV. Just thought I would share. Eric
