Eleven Rack Firmware Update v 1.0.3...now!

Any word on when the Win 7 64 bit version is going to be released?? I saw that 10 months ago it would be released "shortly". Sooo....just wondering how much longer. I just got my 11R and it has been working fine with 1.0.2 and I don't want to run into some of the headaches I have seen some Win 7 64 bit users mention.

YES! The tuner always goes wiggy when I tune my low B on my 5 string bass. It has a hard time figuring out a guitars frequency? after I tune a bass...the dial just goes ape crazy. Have to reset the unit.

I highly doubt a Windows 7 64 bit 1.0.3 updater will show up since 2.0.1 has been released and the grayed out problem has been fixed for that updater.

However the 1.0.3 updater works just fine on Windows 7 64 bit, just click the grayed out Continue button and it will update the firmware to 1.0.3

You should consider the ERXP, it adds a lot of new functionality to the 11R

I was really drooling to buy one of these to replace my 001. glad I held off.
My 001 is still running strong , my brothers 11r wont go beyond the post sceen into the UI.
I always bragged about protools being the best, their hardware second to none.
theres even a workaround in windows virtualization for 001 in win 7 32.
but eleven rack is an embarrassment to me being a tech advisor to my brother in his purchase of it.
2 years and no 64 bit formware installer so a dead interface after a year .

why does there need to be one? 32 bit apps run just fine in a 64 bit host, including the 1.0.3 firmware updater. It may look like it won't work, but it will. The continue/install button looks grayed out, but you can still click it and it will update.

I know Avid said they were going to release a version of the 1.0.3 updater for Windows 7 64 bit, but I think its safe to say they are not going to.

Anyway, just click the grayed out button, you will be fine.

How is it dead? As i said, the 1.0.3 firmware updater works just fine in Windows 7 64 bit. Is that the firmware you are trying to install? 1.0.3 doesn't really fix that much, it certainly is not the difference between a current interface and a dead one.

If you really want to be current you should get the ERXP, that firmware update adds all kinds of great stuff.

trying to get him on this site to get this info so he can get it fixed. I am certain the issue is firmware fixable given how he describes it.

To my knowledge this is the first pc interface hes ever owned so hes a bit new at it but a quick study.
