I have all my speakers on separate stands. The Barefoots are custom made for them, but the NS10s and JBLs are on inexpensive store bought ones. More pics here. https://www.facebook.com/Drew-Mazure...?ref=bookmarks |

I doubt whether my poor mixing skills will be impacted by swapping the speaker positions, but at least now I have them positioned correctly.

Re: Monitors upright or on their sides??
What size screen do you use?
I've wanted to go bigger than my 27" for awhile but was concerned about my monitors being too close to each other.

Re: Monitors upright or on their sides??
Daniel: Check your speaker's manual. Mine says the speakers should be no closer together than 60" (center to center) and the sweet spot for the user to sit would be 60" from each speaker. To widen the sweet spot if 2 people are listening, the speakers should be angled less toward the center.
