Well, I got H-Reverb and Kramer Tape. Might be cool to test between Kramer Tape, HEAT, VCC, and Ozone 8's tape module, since the point of all of these is analog warmth/color

I still wish Waves would allow 2 activations per license. The Plugin-Alliance method is probably the best around, though iLok has gotten better over the years with companies finally coming back to allowing 2-3 activations per licence. At least I can take my flash drive and have all Waves plugins activated anywhere.

I have J37, Vinyl and Kramer Tape, I like them all, whenever I feel a channel needs some help blending in the background or a mix need an extra layer of dynamic control and movement I try them, usually one of them does the trick, especially in combination with NLS.

I think Kramer Tape is more edgy and grainy than J37 and most other tape plugs I've heard and it can be as useful an any.

Kramer tape looks interesting, but again, I have HEAT and VCC. How does Kramer tape compare to you guys?

You do NOT want to overdrive the input to Kramer or it'll sound like crap. Been there/tried it a couple of years back and thankfully it was only a demo so only time wasted not cash.

Gotta say H-Reverb is really nice. Really dig the drive knob and the analog setting. Works great on vocals.

Indeed but Kramer has a mode that lets you bypass the tape effect completely and process your audio using the preamp circuit alone.

The point of all of these plugins is to "warm" or "saturate" the tone. So the comparison seems valid to me from that standpoint. Sure, a console isnt the same as tape, but im not looking at it from a 1:1 comparison. HEAT is more than just desk circuits btw. It fuses consoles, tubes, and tape modeling.

Sale's almost over gents. Ended up getting the Musicians 1 bundle since I didn't have those plugins and Reel ADT for $1. Note that this combo doesnt work at AudioDeluxe, but it does at the Waves site

So, all in all $58 for 8 new plugins this week 😂 not bad. I told myself I was going to stop buying plugins last year since I'm already overloaded, but... well, you guys know how it goes.
