Default Plugin noise when on stagerack but not from PT

Anyone have any clue why the plug-ins are noisier when system is ran from the stagerack, but not much noise when you play back the recording you just did using the stagerack preamps?
Sync issues?

I am using a venue profile.
Thanks!

Sounds interesting, should not be that way at least in theory since recording is picked up from the preamp and patched into where it came from when playing back from PT. What plugins are you using and exactly what do you mean by noise?

Yes, I think it´s very odd too.
I think most of the plug-ins are noisy when not in virtual soundcheck mode, cranesong phoenix, massey td5, bombfactory pultec e.t.c.
It´s is plain hiss kind of noise.
Very noticable if you do big HF lifts on for example the pultec, almost unusable.

Plugins you mentioned all emulate analog and add noise and distortion associated with these analog pieces of gear. I have wondered about the amount of noise in pultecs myself some time ago. Stragely enough the noise is worst if you set up an active speaker like JBL eon in your face and start to check out the plugins. In this cenarion all of the sudden the noise from the desk becomes somehow extremely prominent. Then again with a nice PA I haven't ever noticed any noise issues from the plugins... Just my 2c

I have the exact same plugins in my PT TDM rig, so much more noisier on the venue, but not when in virtual soundcheck... Very strange.

In your PT you don't have live inputs I guess, so without input they might not generate (that much) noise, but in Venue you have preamps / converters active thus there is some noise to amplify. Just a theory... So try to un-assign the input of the venue channel you have your plugin on to see what happens.
