Default Manual editing breakpoints is [bleep]

Since the beginning of PT the behavior of the manual editing breakpoint is [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep].
The need to select points to move verticaly a line of automation is boring.
I WANT the ability to select directly a line between 2 points to move verticaly and horizontaly this line.
The actual behavior is convoluted.
The gain trim tool doesn't act like it should sometimes when a point is out of a region (before the begening or after the end of this region)

I'm very very disappointed by the general ergonomic of manual automation editing in PT.
Logic at this level is plainly better and I WANT an evolution.

I can't grab the concept of moving an automation line horizontaly, but you can simply select a line between 2 points, and move it vertically using the trim tool.

There's no reason to get upset. Editing automation in PT is fantastic. Give the manual a chance, or just ask the people here at the DUC if you get stuck somewhere.

And you can move it horizontally if you swipe across the first and last break points and nudge.
