Default Missing iLok authorization for Pro Tools 10

Seriously....
This type of thing is a bummer.
My iLok is up to date, and everything is installed correctly, but I get this error when trying to launch PT10. My iLok is up to date and I can see it in the properties manager, so the problem has to be that PT is unable to see the iLok.

"Missing iLok authorization for Pro Tools 10". Please insert the necessary oLok and restart Pro Tools.

I just bought the upgrade from PT7 and this is a fresh install on a new computer, so there has been no prior version of PT installed...

I read another thread on the forums here and I think this has something to do with my problem, bit no solution was posted.

I would like to be able to use this program.
Any help would be great.

Have you set up an I-lok account and downloaded the authorization from them onto your I-lok?

Hello Chaps,
Just a quick question has anyone with the reported issue tried booting the computer without the ilok plugged in?

I found that shutting my internet off causes an Ilok failure.

I realised this thread was about the issue on Windows. I opened a new thread for Mac here.

I bought Protools 10 in November and had it working with no problems. Just upgraded my computer and reinstalled and now I'm getting this error. I tried the fix in support Error, missing iLok authorization for Pro Tools 10. Please insert the necessary iLok and restart Pro Tools. [430451] and there was no change. I tried updating to 10.1 and still no change.

What am I supposed to do now? I can't believe I paid so much money for software I can't even use. What a nightmare!?!?!?

This worked for me...

Remove ilok

Uninstall Pro Tools

Uninstall ALL ilok and PACE drivers/software then restart PC

Install NEWEST ilok drivers then restart again

After restart and at desktop... plug in ilok and install Pro Tools

Hmm, never had an issue here. Have you disabled the power management feature on all USB ports(aka USB Root Hub in Device Manager)?
