No guitar signal on interface or pro tools

im trying to record guitar through an m-audio fast track interface (the one that comes with pro tools essential) using pro tools m powered and i can hear the out put of my guitar but there is no signal on my interface or the audio track on pro tools, help?

you need to record enable your audio track. Make sure the master fader and audio track fader are not at -inf

where are the faders? sorry im totally new at protools lol

im know the audio track fader is up
but i dont understand why the signal or peak leds on my interface arent lighting up.

im using an m audio fast track interface, there really tiny cheap one, on m powered, and i cant get any signal from my interface or on my audio track on pro tools, although i can hear the output through my headphones.

i initially posted this (and accidently) in the HD systems forum..thats probally why no one is responding lol

please help me out!

what input do you have assigned? did you hit the record button? did you read the manual?
