Mbox 3 Pro Help.

If I go back to Stereo Mix 1 and turn the faders down on the Software Returns I get a cracking sounds.

Stereo Mix 1


Moving the faders on the Software Returns 1/2 gives a cracking sounds.



While still on Stereo Mix 1 if I engage the Mono Button I get major distortion.

To summarize I get no sound until I change to Stereo Mix 2 and turn the faders up on the Software Returns 1/2. And the distortion etc.

This happens if using Pro tools with a session or just playing an audio file with VLC, iTunes, WMP etc.

And the whole time my Output Setup Looks like this.

When I use the Headphones A or B using Stereo Mix 1 I get sound with no problems.

So this only happens when trying to use the Outputs 1/2 to my Monitors.

Got to be the Mbox.

Can support people or Mbox 3 pro users confirm my findings here.

Sounds like hardware problem to me. Maybe worth to get it checked out at a certified Avid repair shop. You'll need to call the customer care first to get a RMA if it's still under warranty.
