Ripped out my BM card off the computer and got some active Minidisplay Port to HDMI adapters and an HDMI splitter. Never looked back.

How did you know? that is exactly what happened to my card, the 50 cent cooling fan on the actual card broke and started making a horrible screeching noise. I didn't know what it was so I took my computer to the shop and sure enough it was the Blackmagic fan. I contacted Blackmagic and they are sending me a replacement fan.

My video runs on the same computer but a different video drive. I have the mini convertor sync generator and the Avid sync HD. I reference into the card and it all locks

Great, thanks both of you. I have tried different things on different system configurations with or without Avid hardware and figuring out how to get the best video performance on my own system using external and internal disks alongside the unpredictable video engine.
