Gigabyte GA-7IXE4 - alternative non-VIA motherboard for Socket A users?
Would the Gigabyte GA-7IXE4 motherboard be a safe bet to work with Digi 001 for users who still want to utilise a Socket A Thunderbird Athlon CPU?
It uses AMD Chipset 750: AMD 751 (Irongate) North Bridge AMD 756 (Viper) South Bridge I know that the 440BX chipset is recommended and that VIA chipsets are not, but how about this particular AMD chipset. Basically I want to be able to use a Socket A Athlon for my Digi 001 recording. Advice needed urgently! |
