Question Asus P7P55D - which RAM?

alrighty,

i'm planning to build a new machine for my PCI HD system based on the Asus P7P55D.

can anyone recommend RAM that plays nicely with this board? i'm currently looking at the likes of these:

G.Skill Trident 4GB

Kingston HyperX T1 4GB

many thanks,

yes, thank you, i have downloaded and digested the .pdfs available from the Asus product page which deal with supported memory.

however, the lists are minimal, only containing a small selection of RAM that Asus have tested with the board, many of which are spelled incorrectly and thus impossible to find online.

so, i was hoping that those who have built successful systems based on this board could tell me what they are using, what they have found to work well with this board and what they have found do not.

I just purchased this board and the PCI (really PCI-X) cards won't fit. The end of the card sticks out about an inch past the slot and the starshaped heatsink is too high.....causing the cards to not seat at all. Bummer. I'm gonna try the LE version.

really?

the reason that i had chosen that board was because i had read of several people having great success with it, right here on this forum.

or was i mistaken?

I think it's the LE version of the board that is the most succesful. I'm also looking at an MSI P55 board (which has better clearance) since i have read about USB issues with the asus too.
Anyone chime in?
