Upgrade PT11 academic to PT12(standard ,not for education)

Hi There

I bought Pro Tool 10/11 academic back in 4/24/2013 so few days after Avid stop offering 4 years free updates plan for students.On my Avid account says Pro Tool 11 academic verified( last update I received was 11.3.1 next one 11.3.2 is not there.I don't have System ID never got one why? Would like upgrade from Academic version of PT11 to standard PT12 .It's a bit confusing in Avid Store because you can upgrade from Academic to Academic or non-Academic to non-Academic.Can I just buy 99$ upgrade to Pro Tools 12 without expecting registration problems saying that my previous/currant version is an Academic?

I am wondering the same. I may have asked this a while ago and the answer I received was no (from recollection). You cannot upgrade a Student version to a Standard version (May have to do with the license agreement [EULA]).

I am unsure sure of the answer as I would like to know as well.
