Possibly me but I haven't found the dimensions of Mini/Mbox/Pro anywhere on avid.com or in the PDF manuals. Could you please share these with us or will full specs appear on the website soon?
Mbox:
22.3cm x 19.2cm x 5.9cm
Mbox Mini:
17.1cm x 15.8cm x 5.8cm
Mbox Pro:
34.9cm x 19.2cm x 5.8cm

Do the new Core Audio drivers allow them to be used as aggregate devices?
We did not design the drivers for aggregate functionality. It doesn't work with USB audio interfaces at all but some FireWire interfaces can be aggregated using the built in CoreAudio functionality. We did not qualify or test this setup on the Mbox Pro. Our drivers have been designed to provide lower latencies and higher performance, this will often times interfere with the performance required to aggregate devices.

Aw man. I was bout'ta add HARDWARE EXPANSION to the endless list of things other companies' DAWs can do with Avid hardware that Avid's own DAW can't. But, it might work, so...

(FWIW, I have been able to use the 2626 as a 2828 in Logic aggregating the built-in optical I/O of the Mac with an externally synced RME ADI-2. The 2626 has low latency drivers and was also managed by Ray who I salute for bravery making something worthwhile during Avid's darkest days. )

Thumbs up Re: New Pro Tools Mbox Personal Recording Systems

Hi, in the specs of Pro Tools Mini very little useful information, could you tell me please:
- what value "Maximum Input Level" at minimum gain in DI imput (no pad, with pad)
- value of Input impedance DI
- Where is button Pud, i can`t find this button on image of Pro Tools Mini
- Do Pro Tools Mini have multithreading in Win 7

Thanks and sorry for my bad English)

Mbox Mini:
-DI Max input level at min gain without Pad is about +7dBv and +16dBv with the pad. Although the pad is 20dB the DI input will "hit the rails" at +16dBv.
-Input Impedance = 1Mohm
-The pad is the push/pull function of the gain knob

I'm looking through your post history and not seeing any recent posts about problems with your Mbox 2 Mini.

What has rendered it useless, exactly? What did we 'admit' to?

Default Re: New Pro Tools Mbox Personal Recording Systems

I currently use an mbox2 in conjunction with a metric halo ULN2 as a pre-amp and converter into the mbox spdif input.

If I were to use the spdif input on the new mbox pro, will that allow me to record 10 tracks at a time, or will it always be 8?

Would I be able to monitor the spdif input in the cue mixer without any extra latency?

Does the new mbox pro support 88.2Khz as well as 96Khz and what number of tracks is it possible to record at the same time at these sample rates?

Found in user guide p2:
24-bit A/D and D/A converters, supporting
sample rates of 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz,
96 kHz, 176.4 kHz, and 192 kHz.

Pro Tools Le capabilities:
16-bit or 24-bit audio resolution, at sample
rates up to 96 kHz.

SPIDF input note p46:
Mbox Pro does not support external sync at
88.2 kHz, 96 kHz, 176.4 kHz, and
192 kHz sample rates.

This is a typo in the manual. The Mbox Pro supports all sampling rates with external sync.
