Navigating with the scub wheel...
I have been posting some questions under the scrub-trim thread but as that topic is becoming very long and because I went off-topic I start a new topic.
This is what was my last post there: Tried to navigate through the session with the jog wheel today and it was quite comfortable. My only gripe is, is that I have to use both hands for it as I need to press the < and > keys and jog the wheel. There isn't a way to stay in this mode right? The thing I also need is that I want to scrub and jump to the start and end points of my selection. I know this is possible when I'm in scrub mode (allthough the jumping doesn't work here), but can this be done when making a selection when in "navigating" mode?(with the zoom select btton flashing). I tried control and the little speaker apeared but I couldn't scrub, which was also impossible because I needed both hands to navigate, a colleaque of mine pressed control. Sorry guys couldn't find this in the manual! I would like this option because with an actor I don't want to bother them too much when finding an edit point for a punch in. I like to position my cursor globally where it needs to be and then I just scrub a little to check and to hear exactly what the right spot is, if I'd need to scrub a large piece of audio, when there's a lot to punch-in that would be really annoying for someone with headphones going to the in- and out points. If you don't understand anything I'm saying please ask, so you could help me. Thanks! |
