Inserts are \"post\" track, right?
This is probably a dumb question, and I don't know the answer because I've never tried it. Inserts are always post track, right? I.e. plugs inserted on a channel in record, will not record the plug, right? There's no re-routing when the red light is on, is there?
I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I want to make sure and I'm not in my studio to try it. -Tom

Yes inserts on an audio track are not recorded. But inserts on an aux track bussed to an audio track could be used to record a plugins effect.
