Default scrub wheel-NEW topic

I have a DIFFERENT problem (complaint) about the Scrub/Shuttle function. When using the wheel in Shuttle with Machive Control there is no ZERO point, so if shuttle to a point and hit stop the next time I go to shuttle the tape shoots of in some direction and I don't know which way or how for to turn the wheel to stop it. If the jog wheel is all software and there is no center detent then why cant it default to STOP every time you go to SHUTTLE mode?????

Am I missing something here?

It really is a big pain- and kind of embarasing when clients are around
