Guys,

I have a question before I am going to buy things that will not work and I will be frustrated again

- Will M Audio Projectmix I/O Firewire work on Pro Tools MP9 on a mac OS X
Mountain Lion?

- Will it work on windows XP and 7 as well?

I am running PT 10 and 11 on a Mac Pro Early 20009. Using a ProjectMix I/O, no problems with Mountain Lion (MacOS X 10.8.4). Must emphasize that since an adapter is needed (FW800 connectors on my MacPro and MacBook only) one solution worked well and the other one DID NOT. A FW800 to 400 cable (included with the fantastic G-Raid HDs) introduced random clicks, pops and noises and "communication problems" with Pro Tools) Another option, a FW800 to 800 with an adapter included with my WD drive did the trick. It has a FW400 connector on one said and a FW800 JACK on the other. Go figure! It is all working beautifully.
